This study explores the escalating mental health crisis among today’s youth, with a particular focus on the rise of anxiety and its far-reaching consequences. Through examining Jonathan Haidt’s research, participants will gain insights into the impact social media, parenting practices, and societal pressures have had on young people’s well-being, shaping them into what is now called The Anxious Generation. Throughout this course, we will explore research-based strategies for fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and well-being in young people, providing practical tools for supporting the next generation in navigating an increasingly complex world.
This book is facilitated by MSTA Member Sunnie Miller. Sunnie is a Special Educator and Behavioral Intervention Specialist for the Branson School District.
