Conference Outcomes:

  • Learn more about MSTA services, benefits, and resources
  • Collaborate and share promising ideas, practices, and tools to support leaders' role(s) in CTA
  • Develop and define leadership skills to build relationships and enhance attendees' CTA
This is a "learn and do" conference designed for MSTA/CTA leaders.

1. Please verify your name and contact information (CTA, home address, phone number, and email address).
2. Select breakout sessions to attend. 
3. The following meals are provided during the event:

9:15 - 9:45 -- First-Time Attendee Stand-Up Meeting
10:00 - 11:15 -- General Session Keynote: Monica Genta
11:20 - 12:20 -- Red Group -- Member Service Coordinator Meetings
                               Blue Group -- Lunch
12:25 - 1:25 --   Red Group -- Lunch

1:30 - 2:15 -- Breakout Session #1 -- Job-alike 
This session will provide an opportunity for experienced and new leaders with similar roles and responsibilities from different schools to get together to share best practices, ask questions, discuss common issues/challenges, and share strategies, techniques, and solutions.

2:30 - 3:00 -- Office Hours
Office Hours is a spotlight on the departments which are the inner workings of MSTA. This session will allow attendees the opportunity to interact with staff, learn the role their department plays in the operation of MSTA, and ask questions.

3:15 - 4:00 -- Breakout Session #2
4:00 - 4:30 -- Refreshment break 
4:00 -- Hotel Check-In
4:00 - 5:00 -- MSTA Promo Store

Offsite Events:
5:30 pm -7:30 pm  Dinner & Games at Midway Golf & Games 

Dinner will be provided for MSTA members who sign up for this event.  Registration is required.  An air-conditioned banquet hall with a private, covered patio and an additional outdoor pavilion has been reserved for our MSTA members. Cash bars will be available. Many yard games are available at no charge, including Giant Connect Four, Giant Battle Ship, Shuffle Board, Ping Pong, Cornhole, and Giant Checkers. Other activities can be purchased, such as mini golf games, 16-hole par-3 golf games, ax throwing, batting cages, archery tag and go-carts to name a few. You could also choose to reserve a TopTracer driving range bay.

Day 2: Friday, July 19, 2024
6:30 - 7:15 a.m. -- intenSati Wellness Session
Start your day with intenSati! intenSati is a healing practice meant to shift your mindset using mindfulness, movement, and positive language. Participants will leave feeling empowered with more awareness of their thoughts and attitudes to consciously choose powerful, positive ones that will help with healing and regulation. This practice is suitable for all ability levels.

8:00 - 8:45 a.m. -- Breakout Sessions
9:00 - 9:45 a.m. -- Roundtable Discussions
Membership Service Coordinators will facilitate discussion with attendees about the leadership issues/obstacles facing your CTA.

10:00 - 12:00 p.m. -- Closing General Session Keynote -- Darbie Valenti Huff

Make your hotel reservations by calling 573-445-8531. You must indicate you are attending the MSTA Leadership Conference to receive the group rate.  
Each CTA will be reimbursed for Thursday night lodging (one room only) at the Holiday Inn Executive Center group rate after the event. MSTA only provides CTA reimbursement if staying at the Holiday Inn Executive Center via direct deposit to the CTA. If you choose to stay at another location, MSTA will NOT reimburse your lodging.
