Academic vocabulary is essential for success in mathematics. Join me in discussing how to create students who speak as mathematicians and grow their understanding of concepts while doing so. We will talk about explicit instruction for academic vocabulary and building it into our daily conversations. We will also discuss how consistency through grade level impacts student understanding and how to avoid the myths of math.
