Registration fee: $50.00 for member; $75.00 for nonmember
MSTA's Beginning Teacher Assistance Program meets Missouri's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's (DESE) Initial Professional Certification requirement for beginning teacher assistance.
Pre-registration is required. “No shows” are nonrefundable. Transferring from one BTAP to another incurs a $25 processing fee.
Over a one-month period, participants in MSTA's online BTAP will collaborate in discussion boards and online readings over the following topics:
· Classroom environment
· Instruction and engagement
· Professional communication
· Education-related laws
Some course materials will be presented in audiocasts and video format. Online courses are limited to 40 participants. This course has been updated to incorporate the Missouri Teaching Standards. These standards are at the core of Missouri’s evaluation tools. Participants will learn effective teaching practices and strategies for successful professional growth.
All BTAP participants must enroll in three (3) MSTA Beyond the Book Club book studies to meet the BTAP requirement. Participants can enroll in a BTAP and book club during the same month. To register for book studies, go to msta.org/events or call MemberCare at 800-392-0532.
